I thought the signs were a bit confusing so I brought a few of them with me to test the public Let_s see how people did. Okay so some people did better than others but overall I_d say the sport logos could use a little more work Now for more of the daily highlights from the games we_ll send you over to Carli BeiThanks Eila Organizers may have had trouble drumming up support in the weeks leading up to the games but now that they_re here people are singing a different tune More than 20-thousand tickets were sold on the first full day of competition in Toronto. The very first event was a women_s water polo event between Puerto Rico and Venezuela last Tuesday which was attended by a whopping 25 people. But things have totally turned around since. Overall more than 850-thousand tickets have been sold so far. It was all about the water sports on Day 3. The Canadians once again led the way by hauling in eight medals padding their lead in the overall medal count. There was also a pretty scary moment from the women_s weightlifting event. Venezuela_s Genesis Rodriguez Gomez was attempting to lift 106 kilograms when THIS happened. She fainted as she tried to lift the bar but was thankfully unhurt. And not only that she even came back later and lifted MORE weight to claim a silver medal Amazing That_s the latest from the Pan Am Games Now here_s a look at the latest medal count

The Hellfire Burger has pure chili extract plus cayenne and ghost peppers IN the meat which is then topped with a relish made with habanero jalapeno and serrano peppers. It_s finished with some hot sauce and a dash of grain alcohol - then set on FIRE Each burger comes with protective gloves and goggles.In SWEETER fare a restaurant in Memphis Tennessee is taking advantage of people_s love of FAIR foods. Carnival Food Year Round offers up exactly what its name suggests - goodies like funnel cakes deep fried Twinkies and Snickers bars and nearly a DOZEN different kinds of candy apples Plus cotton candy corn dogs fried pickles Philly steak nachos and more. They ALSO offer up regular burgers sandwiches and the like but unsurprisingly the carnival food is their big draw.Bangkok_s Gaggan restaurant has been named 2015_s BEST restaurant in Asia in San Pellegrino_s annual awards. The progressive Indian restaurant combines traditional Indian foods with modern twists like sous-vide cooking savory foams and NON-traditional ingredients like foie gras. Chef Gaggan Anand studied under Ferran Adria at the legendary El Bulli in Spain before opening his own space five years ago.The newest oddly-themed restaurant in China is Prison Feng Yun - yes a PRISON-themed restaurant. It_s located about a half hour from Beijing in Tianjin. Diners are locked into cells with their companions and food as chains and fake spiders dangle from the ceiling. One table even ups the ante with a little water torture where the diners_ shoes are replaced with flip-flops and water floods their feet. The owner says he hopes the restaurant will discourage crime.And finally on Tuesday the BBC is set to start airing a six-part series that examines how eating habits have changed in the past fifty years. Back In Time For Dinner will show one family eating typical foods from each decade each week. They start with post-war rationing and powdered foods then move into pre-packaged meals microwaving nouvelle cuisine home delivery and all the fads along the way to the present. A Tesla buyer on the waiting list for the new 130 thousand dollar Model X SUV had his order CANCELLED after making a complaint. Venture Capitalist Stewart Alsop penned an open letter online to Musk moaning about how poorly organised a recent launch event was. First up though a Naked news Bulletin with Peyton Priestly including a story about ONE MORE STATE to legalize Marijuana. Eila that state is Alaska. They_re now the THIRD state in the union to legalize the recreational use of marijuana A new measure that was approved in November took effect Tuesday. It lets people 21 and older carry up to an ounce of pot and own up to six plants. Now that doesn_t mean you can go light one up in public. That_s still strictly off-limits and carries a hundred dollar fine. Regulations for the retail sale of pot are still being ironed out and in Anchorage city organizers are planning an ad campaign on how to safely use the drug.The US Department of Veterans Affairs has been rocked by yet another scandal. Secretary Robert McDonald issued an apology on Monday for lying about having served in an elite special forces unit. The incident occurred last month during an overnight event with homeless vets in LA. McDonald was filmed telling an ex-special ops veteran that he had also been in special forces. He took over as Secretary last summer for retired Army General Eric Shinseki who resigned in the wake of a massive scandal involving poor medical care for VA patients. And the death toll linked to defective General Motors ignition switches has now risen to 57. GM has hired a team of legal experts to compile a list of eligible claims for compensation. Nearly five hundred death claims have been submitted but only the 57 eligible will receive payment. Each approved claim is worth at least one million dollars and so far GM is on the hook for close to one hundred million dollars. The process is far from over. Last year the automaker put aside 400 million dollars to cover the costs of the lawsuits. Don_t go away.

VS) True - although something tells me Mr. Romney isn_t the one laughing at the moment. Welcome to the newsroom everyone. VS) Mitt Romney lost by double digits in Saturday_s South Carolina primary and the future_s not looking any brighter for him. Newt Gingrich_s last minute surge in the polls paid off and now it looks like that surge has followed him to Florida. An Insider Advantage poll says Gingrich has taken the lead by a full 8 points. Worse still for Romney the same poll says these numbers are part of a larger trend suggesting Republicans are moving toward Gingrich on a national level. Over to the Middle East now where Syria has refused demands from the Arab League for President Bashar al-Assad ba-SHAR al-ah-SAD to relinquish power to his deputy. Meeting in Cairo the League also called for Syrian officials to form a coalition government with the country_s opposition. UN figures say over 5000 people have died in the past 10 months due to crackdowns on protesters. Nonetheless the government in Damascus da-MASS-kus maintains these casualties represent nothing more than terrorists and armed gangs.With divers having uncovered yet another body the death toll for the Costa Concordia cruise ship disaster now stands at 13. Meanwhile disgraced captain Francesco Schettino ska-TEE-no has stated on record that _sail-by salutes_ like the one that brought down his ship are regularly requested by management. He also claims this practice is particularly encouraged during local holidays as a way to bolster publicity for the cruise line. Schettino_s comments directly contradict the recent Costa press conference that stated only one _sail by_ has ever been authorized. And that_s your first look at the news we_ll be right back.
