Clara's newest artifact, a small ruby known as "le c?ur de l'amant", is causing her no small amount of frustration. The rare, heart-shaped gem was known to belong to a famous Victorian-era courtesan named Cora Pearl and is believed to be endowed with certain magical properties. Fascinated with artifacts from this particular era of England's history, Clara went to great lengths to gain the artifact, and is now eagerly doing her best to uncover its secrets.

It would seem, however, that the artifact is not interested in surrendering its secrets. Hours upon hours of research has kept Clara up well into the wee hours of the night. She searches through historic documents, databases, and diaries, but comes up empty handed. Frustrated, she takes a quick break to clear her head. She returns to her office with a plate of cookies and what she believes may be the missing piece of information, only to discover the mystery eludes her still.

Ready to throw in the towel for the night, Clara notices a book of the courtesan's memoirs sitting on the edge of her desk. Unable to decode the secrets of "The Lover's Heart", she instead decides to unwind with the book by the fireplace until sleep takes her. However, the courstesan's tale turn out to be quite erotic, and Clara finds herself incredibly aroused. Eventually, the eroticism completely Clara, and she begins touching herself. only to find she's been transported to a time and place she could have never imagined.

This is the account of how Clara accidentally discovered the key to "The Lover's Heart".
