NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke called Williams_ actions inexcusable saying that he had jeopardized the trust millions of Americans had placed in NBC News. However Burke added that Williams deserved a second chance. The suspension will cost the NBC Nightly News anchorman an estimated five million dollars.Williams isn_t the only media personality in the news today Daily Show host Jon Stewart STUNNED fans on Tuesday evening with the announcement that he_s leaving the show later this year. Stewart_s been the face of the program for more than fifteen years but he told the audience that it was time for someone else to have the opportunity. When exactly he_ll choose to sign off remains unclear. His contract expires in September but he says he could leave as early as July or as late as December. He will be sorrily missed Kat back to you. The tech giant has just become America_s FIRST 700 BILLION dollar company When it comes to value Apple is truly in a league of its own. The next largest company is Exxon Mobil and they_re worth a paltry 382 billion. Apple_s value was given a boost with the announcement of a new partnership with First Solar. They_re building a 3-thousand acre solar energy farm that will funnel electricity to Apple_s new campus in Silicon Valley. In other news Greece is expected to submit a request to the Eurozone for a six-month loan extension. The move is not an extension of the country_s current bailout agreement with the EU and IMF. Instead it_s an attempt by the nation_s new left-wing government designed to give Greece a lifeline while sidestepping harsh austerity measures. Without a new deal soon it_s possible that Greece will run out of money by the end of the month. The street value of the drugs are estimated at more then 105 million dollars Three people were arrested in connection to the record haul including one Venezuelan and two Spaniards. Are you ready for Mobilegeddon? Let_s hope your favorite websites are On Tuesday Google changed its mobile search algorithm to favor sites that have a mobile-friendly layout. That means that sites that HAVEN_T yet created a mobile template will appear much further down in smartphone users_ search results. Google says it_s making the change because it wants consumers to find content that_s easy to interact with on smaller screens. And Kraft hopes you won_t notice a BIG change to its famous Mac & Cheese products. Starting in January the company will be removing all artificial preservatives and synthetic colors from the ingredients. Instead the macaroni and cheese will be colored using paprika annatto and turmeric. The company says it_s been working for quite some time on perfecting the new recipe and didn_t want to release it until they were confident customers wouldn_t notice the difference. She_s standing by in the Naked Newsroom with America_s most HATED retailer the flu vaccine and a major court ruling against an American pharmaceutical GIANT Kat Johnson and Johnson has been ordered to pay 72 million in damages to the family of a woman who died of ovarian cancer. They claimed that that her death was caused by her use of the company_s products which contain talcum powder. 62-year old Jackie Fox died in 2015. She had used Johnson and Johnson powder products for nearly 50 years. Her case is part of a larger lawsuit filed by close to 50 women claiming the corporation knew the health risks of using talc in its products but failed to warn the public. The scientific community has been divided over the use of talc for years. Some believe it_s safe while others claim it is carcinogenic to humans. Johnson and Johnson released a statement saying its products were safe. The company plans on appealing the decision. Did you get your flu shot this season? If you did you are 59 percent LESS likely to get sick. According to the CDC this year_s vaccine has been one of the most effective in years. Because flu viruses mutate so quickly the usefulness of vaccines can vary wildly from year to year. By comparison the 2014 vaccine was only 23-percent effective. Health officials in the US urge everyone to get their flu shot every year but normally less than half of Americans actually do. And they say there_s no such thing as bad publicity but I guarantee this is the one title NO company wants. According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index the most HATED retailer in America is... Abercrombie and Fitch It_s the first time the clothing store_s ever been on the list. Abercrombie has been in flux since CEO Mike Jeffries left in 2014 and the ranking could seriously damage its recent rebranding efforts. When it came to stores customers loved Nordstrom Costco Amazon and Wegmans all had high marks. Kat can you guess who Abercrombie and Fitch displaced in the 1 spot? The news begins in Paris France where the city is doing its best to battle rising pollution levels. Paris has been engulfed in a smoggy haze and on Monday began enforcing a new law to cut the number of drivers on the road in HALF Only cars with odd-numbered plates were allowed on city streets along with electric or hybrid vehicles or cars with three or more passengers. The city has also made public transit FREE to help clear up its air which one monitoring company called the dirtiest in the world last week. The American Navy_s USS Theodore Roosevelt is making waves off the coast of the southern UK The carrier was supposed to sail into the Royal Navy_s historic Portsmouth dockyard but was too big and has instead anchored off the coast of Hampshire. It_s a site that has drawn thousands of stunned onlookers to the beach to snap photos of the 100000 ton behemoth. The ship_s making a 5-day visit to the area as a display of strong US-UK relations and the 5000 sailors on board should give a friendly boost to the local economy. And it took more than five hundred years but Richard the third of England was finally given a King_s burial over the weekend. Richard died in battle in 1485 and was buried quickly without a coffin in a monastery that was later demolished. His bones weren_t found until 2012 during an archaeological dig in a parking lot in Leicester. DNA tests confirmed that the remains belonged to the fallen king and on Sunday hundreds of Brits - many dressed in medieval regalia - turned out to see Richard moved to his final resting place. The Texas senator has been one of the country_s most outspoken opponents of Obamacare which makes this development that much harder to believeWelcome to the Naked Newsroom. In an interview with CNN_s Dana Bash Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said he was signing up for Obamacare Cruz admitted he and his family would be joining the federal exchange created through the Affordable Care Act - the law he has so staunchly opposed. Until now Cruz had access to health benefits through his wife_s plan at Goldman Sachs. But she_s taken leave to join him on the campaign trail and by law members of Congress are required to obtain health care coverage through the online marketplace in DC. In Washington a new bill to legalize medical marijuana at the federal level has been introduced in the House. The bipartisan effort will likely have a hard time gaining traction on Capitol Hill but it_s clear that the public is behind it. According to a recent poll 86-percent of Americans say medical marijuana should be available. And a controversial new bill is set to take hold in Indiana this week. Governor Mike Pence is expected to sign a new religious freedom law. Supporters of the law say it will keep the government from forcing business owners - such as bakeries and florists who don_t want to provide services to gay couples - from acting in ways that are contrary to their religious beliefs. Gay rights advocates call the law an outright recipe for discrimination and persecution. Hundreds of demonstrators have flooded the streets of Indianapolis in recent weeks to voice their frustration.
