Hello to all xxx downloaders.
I need your thoughts about saving download files.
Do you save your downloaded files on hdds,dvds,blu-ray or other?
How do you sort your downloads? by model,by sites,by fetish,by type of porn or other?
or maybe all in one without sorting?

For most p0rnstars, I have a folder for each girl with her pics and movies, regardless of which website it's from.
Within that folder, I have one folder for her pics and another for her movies.

For OAS and Playb0y, I created a main folder with subfolders for each girl. In each folder, I keep movies and photo sets in different folders.
I also include any files from non-OAS or Playb0y sites she may appear on. These are the only sites for which I have unique folders.

I keep all of the above folders on my hard drive in folder called "private"

Occasionally, I'll back-up my stuff onto a portable WD Drive. When that drive gets too full (or the files get old), I'll either delete them or burn the ones I want to save onto DVDs.

Cameron - My collecting has always been model centric and so in most cases I drop a new set or video into a folder named after the girl. For larger video collections like Art Lingerie, I keep all the videos in a single folder named after the collection.

What you're asking about seems to be archiving for permanent storage not simply backing up files. Hard drives (HD) and solid state drives (SSD) both experience data fade with time. Usually in 1 or 2 years the corruption will be enough to prevent some files from being opened. So if you use a HD or SSD for archiving, you must re-write all the files every year to keep them reliable.

Never use recordable CD or DVD because they use organic dyes that deteriorate with time and they're easily damaged by light and humidity.

Recordable Blu-ray (BD-R) is better than CD and DVD because it uses a metallic data layer instead of an organic dye. BD-R is assumed to retain data for up to 50 years.

According to tests by the national archives of France and the US military, the Millennial Disc (M-disc) is expected to preserve data for up to 1000 years. The M-disc doesn't need a reflective layer like CD and DVD and its data is etched into a silica data layer by a more powerful laser than DVD and early BD drives. M-discs were tested by exposing them to sunlight, being frozen in ice, and placed into boiling water. Their data remained readable.

I used to archive to DVD+R using high quality burning methods and disks but have had some problems with corruption at about the 2 year mark. Thus, I am going to re-archive using M-disc DVD or maybe M-disc BD. My collection is small, being selected softcore like Art-Lingerie and various softcore videos. So M-disc DVD might be enough for me.

If you don't want to use M-discs, then I'd suggest the only option for long term archiving is high quality recordable Blu-ray disks burned at slow speed on a good optical disk writer. Panasonic and Verbatim are the best brands. If they're then stored correctly, they could last for 50 years or longer. Keep them stored away from humidity and extreme temperatures.

Hard and solid state drives are only good for backing up files, but archiving requires much more stable media. Be sure to keep 1 or 2 additional copies at another location from your computer.

Store them in a Synology NAS which has several drives in RAID.

I also sort the models by level of attraction, which helps both finding models I cant recall the name of as well as sorting models onto different external drives.

I use an internal raid array and external drives for storage.

These M Disks sound really nice but even just storing all I managed to get of Emily Bloom would require no less than 3 50 gig M Disks, and I havent even managed to get all of Emily.

I use an external hard drive. Folders with model names are easier to sort. I also have an all-in-one folder for videos and pictures that don't need an entire folder.
