During the archaeological excavations that she supervises, Marta discovered a superb dish, richly decorated, dating from Roman times and of great historical value. Pressed by insurmountable financial difficulties and encouraged by Peter, an antiques dealer who was once her lover, she silences her scruples and tries to sell her find to rich collectors. But Peter only found a more than dubious individual as a buyer, Salvatore, whose ties to the Mafia and his brutality make him formidable. Very quickly, the latter will try to get his hands on the precious object, using threats to get Peter to kill him; betray Marta. Realizing her madness, Marta confesses everything; Sandor, a police officer with whom she is in love. From a police intrigue, Mike Foster has made a fascinating film where, seriously; sexual desires and greed clash forcefully in scenes filmed with great effectiveness.
