BPI was suing for a whopping 1.9 billion dollars, claiming the ABC story misled consumers into thinking the additives known as pink slime were harmful, despite the fact that it_s banned in Canada and across Europe The company was forced to close three plants and lay off 700 workers. Terms of the settlement weren_t disclosed but you can bet your Big Mac that they_re pretty happy with the result. That trial_s over but this one_s just getting started Jim Carrey is going to court in the wrongful death lawsuit of his ex-girlfriend. The case was filed by the mother and husband of Cathriona White, who overdosed on prescription drugs in 2015. Her family claims Carrey used his wealth and celebrity status to help her get the drugs that led to her death. The actor tried to get the case thrown out, but an LA judge says Carrey should face a jury in April, when we_ll find out once and for all if he_s a Liar Liar And here_s more proof that sometimes the legal system really blows A man in Oviedo Florida was jailed for 90 days after police pulled him over, and a K9 unit found what they THOUGHT was cocaine.
