Vermont is on the brink of becoming the ninth US state to legalize the recreational use of marijuana But it_s HOW they did it that_s really interesting. Vermont_s the first state to send a pot legalization bill directly to the governor_s office, rather than holding a voter referendum The state senate passed the bill last week, and now it_s in the hands of Governor Phil Scott. If he signs off, the drug would become legal in 2018, and adults would be allowed to have up to 6 plants at home for personal use Montana_s Glacier National Park is quickly losing the thing its best known for: glaciers New data shows that the park_s 37 glaciers have shrunk by about 40 percent since 1966. Scientists say there_s a good chance they_ll completely disappear in our lifetimes. The glaciers are 7-thousand years old and researchers consider the shrinkage a clear sign of global warming. And here I thought COLD temperatures caused shrinkage... And a picturesque hillside village in Italy_s northwest wants YOU to come live la dolce vita With a population of just 390 people, the tiny community of Bormida is in danger of becoming a ghost town. That_s why the mayor_s introduced a measure that will pay newcomers more than two thousand dollars, and offer rent as low as 50 dollars a month Be warned, they call it Boring Bormida for a reason.
