It recently lost a lawsuit claiming that its glyphosate-based weed killers led to a California man_s cancer, and not only was that a TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE MILLION dollar verdict, it_s leading to more lawsuits According to parent company Bayer, Monsanto is now facing roughly EIGHT THOUSAND lawsuits over its use of the chemical, up from the previously reported five thousand, two hundred Boy, I REALLY should_ve gone to law school The US Energy Department is helping a Bill Gates-backed company develop mini nuclear reactors Specifically, molten chloride fast reactors that use liquid salts as both a fuel and a coolant They are less expensive and more efficient then typical reactors and the hope is that they will be the driving force behind America_s energy future.
