The category 4 storm was MASSIVE and authorities told people to hunker down and stay inside. So as the 160 mile an hour winds died down slightly, while the eye passed over Queensland, THIS happened. And THIS. Yep. Heading out onto the water during a cyclone. How DUMB ARE these people? We_ve named daredevils our Boobs of the Week before - like that idiot who wrecked himself jumping off a roof while aiming for a pool. But THESE guys make him look like Albert freaking Einstein Because not only are THESE lackwits risking their lives, they_re risking OTHER people_s lives as well. If one of these guys gets stuck out there, or whacked in the head with his board, emergency services will have to go out there to save him. When they SHOULD be helping people who AREN_T too damn stupid to live I get that these were some tasty waves, man. But there_s tasty and there_s TYPHOON, and there_s a hell of a big difference It_s sheer good luck that neither of these beach bums wound up dead, maybe taking some rescuers with them. Australians took to social media, calling our bozos out for their idiocy, and that_s a good start. But it_s not just Australia.
