There_s been a few developments on the Ebola front including a 2nd person infected with the deadly virus in Dallas. It_s another health care who was part of the team that treated Thomas Eric Duncan the man who contracted Ebola in Liberia before traveling state side to visit family. Duncan became the first person to die of Ebola on US soil last week. The health care worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital reported a fever on Tuesday and was immediately isolated. Fortunately it_s believed she came into contact with very few people before seeking medical help. Meanwhile the US government is setting up a rapid-response team to assist hospitals dealing with cases of Ebola. Officials say the emergency team will be able to respond to a situation within hours. CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden says a team like this would have prevented health care workers in Texas from contracting the virus. US President Barack Obama says the world as a whole is not doing enough to stop the spread of the virus.And human testing of an experimental Canadian-made Ebola vaccine has begun in Maryland. Forty people are taking part in the phase one trials which will determine proper dosage levels and single out possible side effects. In early studies with primates the vaccine prevented infection before exposure and dramatically increased survival rates for those already infected. That_s your first look at the news
