Britney is a nerdy college student who's just been assigned the "crime beat" for her school's paper. Eager to make a big splash, she goes on a ride along with a plain clothes police officer. When Xander discovers what she's been writing, he decides to give her exactly what she wants-a strong, guiding hand.
