SBI takes on a new type of bondage. Thanks to a fan of our web site we had the opportunity to play with some very cool medical fiberglass materials. He did all the research, supplied the materials, and volunteered to be the first casting subject. This was his first time in a cast, and he decided to go for the full monte - a head to toe full body cast which is referred to as a вЂFBC' for those in the casting circles. He wanted to stay in the FBC overnight; however we decided to wait until he was fully cast to make that decision.
We knew that a full body cast was going to be a project that required many assistants so our friend Yossie of BlackSteel took the lead and directed the entire operation. In all there were four people doing the casting and one person photographing. We had recently acquired a hydraulic OBGYN medical table which came in handy as we started to cast the lower part of his body. The table allowed us to raise, lower, and recline his body as we cast his legs and feet. In addition, once he was fully cast the hydraulic table allowed us to vary his body's position which lowered his fatigue and allowed better blood circulation...
